All-Encompassing Trip. Photography by Guillermo Esteves.

I took this photo at Hotel Los Bordones, in Cumaná, Venezuela. I don’t know if it’s a good photo or not, but the hotel staff was completely OK with me taking photos around the place, they were incredibly friendly with me, and, months later, the general manager even left a comment at Panoramio thanking me for getting this picture featured on Google Earth. The right way to treat a customer and a visitor, if you ask me. (And the hotel is great, too.)

It’s a shame I had the completely opposite experience today at Paseo El Hatillo, where I got harassed by security for daring to take a photo at their shitty mall. It’s a shame some businesses feel the need to be hostile to their customers just because they carry a camera around their necks.
